Brad Taylor wins the Schluter Medal by one vote
Brad Taylor from Gawler Central won the Schluter and Mail  Medals on Monday night for being judged the Fairest and Most Brilliant A-Grade Footballer playing in the Barossa, Light & Gawler Football Association during the 2008 season. He is the first Gawler Central player to win it since they joined the association in 1987 and first since Alf Skuse in 1972 in the Gawler & District League. Gawler Central won the medal five times in the Gawler & District League. The count was run by the B., L. & G. Assn. at the Vine Inn Hotel-Motel, Nuriootpa, with around 290 people attending and guest speaker was former Essendon Coach, Kevin Sheedy.
The Rookie of the Year was won by John Roesler of Angaston and the Senior Colt Footballer of the Year was Charlie Molyneux of Gawler Central.
