LEIGH SYMONS WINS 2009 MAIL MEDAL

West Whyalla’s Leigh Symons has taken out this years Mail Medal in what was an incredibly tight count. Symonds finished on 15 votes, ahead of dual runners-up Josh Parker and Matthew Manfield both of Roopena. There was a four-way tie for fourth spot, with Ray McIntosh (South), Greg Fiebig (Roopena), Brad Henderson (West) and Geoff Appleton (Weeroona Bay) all on 13. An amazingly tight count with 7 players separted by just two votes.
